The mission of Berry Observatory is to provide hands-on education and viewing opportunities to people in the Northwest Ohio area, as well as allowing remote access globally, through the Internet, to those people who could not otherwise be afforded such a resource. Berry Observatory is currently being constructed in an all-new, more spacious facility. It will be entirely custom designed and built to allow for easier access, expandability, and more functionality. Once completed (Spring 2008) it will house a Celestron CGE1100 SC telescope along with an Astro-Tech 80mm APO refractor, along with various other astrophotography equipment. The entire facility will be fully computer controlled and contain some of the latest high resolution CCD imaging equipment.
